How to stop “Case Notification Email” from salesforce

When you impliment queues you may find that regardless of not ticking the Send Email to Members option, your queue members still get emails.

Case Notification

This is usually when you change the owner via workflow or apex.

The way to stop this from happening is to ‘cheat’ the system by providing a fake email in the queue settings so that the system attempts to send an email but is unable to.

Note: You still have to have Send Email to Members set to False.
